Kaela is a writer, editor, and speaker with an MA in English and Creative Writing. She likes to tell stories–-sometimes true ones, sometimes not. In addition to writing, Kaela works for WSU’s Community Engagement Institute crafting communication solutions for non-profits and community organizations. She is passionate about empowering all people–but especially women–to heal from trauma, practice self-compassion, and unapologetically live their lives.
In her spare time, she plays guitar, works on her first novel and a collection of poetry and short stories, and tries to remember to water her plants. She lives in Wichita with her daughter, her boyfriend, and their dogs, Harley and Luma.
